The Inspiration
One Boy; One Donkey
While working at a local stable, Jonathan, who was 17 at the time, quickly realized spending time with the resident mini donkeys had a profound effect on his anxiety that he struggled with from an early age. He asked if he could buy his own mini donkey and the search began. After two weeks, his donkey found him and an instant bond was formed.
Finding a place of Peace
The mounting academic pressures, social pressures, sports performance pressures, and past trauma melted away in the presence of Timmy. They spent almost every day together, hiking, playing and sometimes just sitting quietly. Timmy presence and love helped bring emotional balance and a sense of peace.
Celebrating Success
Because of that bond, navigating life was easier and Jonathan celebrated his first rite of passage with the little donkey who helped him get there while maintaining holistic wellness.
Experiencing this amazing transformation and healing, the Woodford's started Woodfords Hollow LLC with the mission and vision to bring donkeys into the lives of others so that they may experience their healing energy and help others on their journey to holistic wellness.
